The Board will answer questions from the news media following the Board meeting.

Next Listening Session Set for August

The May 19 meeting of the TVA Board of Directors in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, will focus largely on continued deliberations on topics discussed at previous meetings. In particular, the Board is expected to hear updated reports on TVA’s Energy Efficiency and Demand Response Plan, the Renewable and Clean Energy Assessment, and the proposed Environmental Policy.

The topics were presented at the April Board meeting, and an extensive public comment period followed with nine stakeholder meetings throughout the Tennessee Valley. The public comments have been taken into consideration in the final versions of the plans to be considered at the May meeting.

Because extensive public input has been gathered on these topics, the Board will not conduct a separate public listening session at the May meeting. Public listening sessions will resume with the Board meeting in August in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Board will also recognize TVA’s 75th anniversary at the May 19 meeting.
