Bull Run Fossil Plant House Demolition and Hydrogeologic Investigations
Anderson County, Tennessee
On May 24, 2013, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) completed a final environmental assessment and issued a finding of no significant impact for the proposed house demolition and hydrogeologic investigations on recently purchased property adjacent to its Bull Run Fossil Plant. To protect public health and safety, TVA proposes to remove the structures and implement other actions to manage the recently acquired land. TVA also proposes to perform a hydrogeologic investigation on approximately 130 acres of the purchased property to determine future suitable uses of the purchased property, such as a landfill for storing coal combustion residues.
