Changing the guard at Retirement Services
After 28 years at TVA, Vice President of Retirement Services Randy Snyder is retiring at the end of the year.
“Randy has done a great job in directing one of the largest pension plans in the world,” says Executive Vice President of Administrative Services John Long. “In his 16 years as head of Retirement Services, he has earned the confidence and trust of TVA retirees, as well as future retirees. We wish him the very best as he joins the ranks of the 22,000 retirees he has served so well. And we are very fortunate to have someone with the expertise and experience of Tammy Wilson to take over for Randy.”

Tammy Wilson will take over as vice president of Retirement Services in January, a position Randy Snyder has held.
In January, Wilson will step in as Snyder’s successor as vice president.
“Tammy and I are working closely over the coming months to ensure a very smooth transition,” says Snyder. “She has all the tools to be a great success in her new job.”
Wilson says she is looking forward to the new challenge. “It’s a huge responsibility, and I appreciate Randy’s showing me all the details that go into managing Retirement Services.”
Most recently serving as senior adviser to Chief Financial Officer Kim Greene, Wilson provides advice on all aspects of TVA’s Financial Services operations.
From November 2006 to September 2007, she served as interim senior vice president and treasurer. In that job, she was responsible for managing TVA’s $25 billion debt portfolio, as well as the Cash Management operations, working capital and Nuclear Decommissioning Trust Investments, Corporate Credit and Investor Relations.
Between 1995 and 2007, Wilson held several positions in TVA’s Treasury organization, and she has been involved in all of TVA’s Global Power Bond issuances. During her tenure in Treasury, her hands-on experience in refinancing $30 billion of TVA bonds helped reduce TVA’s annual interest expense by more than $600 million.
Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1990 from the University of Kentucky and her master’s in accounting from the University of Tennessee in 1993. She also serves on the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union Supervisory Committee and is the executive chair for the 2008 TVA Smoky Mountain Region Combined Federal Campaign.
“Retirement Services is so important in so many ways,” Wilson says. “It’s a great opportunity to serve TVA’s employees and retirees, and I can’t wait to get started.”
