TVA Hosts Free Public Presentation on the Cherokee Removal

To highlight National Preservation Month and commemorate the 175th anniversary of the Trail of Tears, TVA will host a discussion by Dr. Brett Riggs on the Cherokee Removal.
Dr. Riggs is a research archaeologist and adjunct assistant professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. An expert in Cherokee cultural history, Riggs will recount the Cherokee journey by tracing the experiences of the citizens of Aquohee in their long march from present-day Brasstown, N.C., to present-day Delaware County, Okla.
