TVA To Temporarily Close Road Over Wilson Dam on April 21-24

FLORENCE, Ala. – Traffic across Wilson Dam on South Cox Creek Parkway/North Wilson Dam Road near Florence, Ala., will be closed Monday through Thursday, April 21-24, to allow for refurbishment of the crane used on Wilson Dam.
The closure will begin at 8 a.m. CST on Monday.
A complete closure is necessary to help ensure the safety of motorists and the repair crews. Access should be restored by 5 p.m. CST on Thursday.
In the event of stormy weather, the work may be extended or rescheduled. Motorists should expect delays and may want to consider another route. Signage will be placed on both sides of the bridge and gates will be in place.
