TVA Donates $1,150 to Junior Achievement of Northeast Mississippi

TUPELO, Miss. – TVA has donated $1,150 to Junior Achievement of
Northeast Mississippi, a local organization dedicated to educating K-12 students
about business, economics and free enterprise.
“We are very appreciative of TVA’s donation,” said Junior Achievement
Board President Len Grace. “This will allow us to continue our mission of
educating students on the importance of business and entrepreneurship.”
“TVA and the local distributors of TVA power are pleased to support the
local community and strengthen our partnership with Junior Achievement," said
TVA Customer Service General Manager Terry Kemp. “Partnering with Junior
Achievement allows TVA to help students in the area gain a better understanding
of the free enterprise system and use their knowledge for future success.”
TVA corporate contributions are made to not-for-profit organizations, with
special emphasis on education, economic development and civic/business
partnerships that further enhance TVA’s mission of service.
TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self-financed. TVA provides power to large industries and 158 power distributors that
serve approximately 8.6 million consumers in seven southeastern states.
