TVA Work To Affect Traffic Across Pickwick Dam
July 12, 2005
SAVANNAH, Tenn. – State Route 128 across Pickwick Dam will be closed intermittently (from one to five minutes at a time) between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 19-21 while TVA workers put additional riprap (loose rock) on the upstream face of the dam to reduce erosion. The existing riprap has deteriorated and must be replaced.
Motorists may want to consider another route during those hours. TVA Police will be on site to direct traffic.
