TVA To Close One Lane of State Route 101 Across Wheeler Dam

TOWN CREEK, Ala. – Traffic across Wheeler Dam on State Route 101 will be restricted to one lane from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays July 18-July 29 for general maintenance at the dam.
TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self-financed. TVA provides power to large industries and 158 power distributors that serve approximately 8.5 million consumers in seven southeastern states. TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
