TVA Vice President Appointed to 2006 Board of Examiners

The Board of Directors of the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence has appointed TVA Senior Vice President of Marketing Jim Keiffer of Nashville to its 2006 Board of Examiners.
The Board of Examiners selects winners in the center’s award program, which annually recognizes organizations demonstrating excellence in business operations and results.
Keiffer has more than 25 years experience in the utility industry and has been with TVA since 1997. He is responsible for partnering with the distributors of TVA power to develop strategies that encourage the efficient consumption of electricity in homes and businesses. He also directs efforts to create new energy-related products and services.
TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self-financing with revenues of $7.8 billion in 2005. TVA provides power to large industries and 158 power distributors that serve approximately 8.6 million consumers in seven southeastern states. TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
