TVA To Hold Public Meeting on Little Cedar Mountain ProposalDecember 1, 2004 SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. -- TVA will hold a public meeting on Monday, Dec. 13, to receive input on the possible sale of approximately 700 acres of property on Nickajack Reservoir in Marion County. Little Cedar LLC has requested that TVA sell the property, which is adjacent to Little Cedar Mountain, and allow mixed-use development including commercial recreation and residential. As part of their request, Little Cedar, L.L.C. proposes a land exchange of approximately 830 acres. If a decision is made to sell the property, TVA would sell it at a public auction. Public comments may be made on the proposal through Dec. 31. The public meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Pittsburg High School on Elm Ave. in South Pittsburg. TVA is interested in public comments on how the possible sale and development of the property could affect historic properties or the environment and in any other issues that are important for TVA to consider in making the decision.
