Power Supply Upgrade

powerlinesTVA is considering improvements to the transmission system in the Lynnville area. The proposed transmission line project will improve reliable electric service in the Lynnville area.

TVA is proposing to rebuild about three and half miles of the existing Columbia-Lynnville 46-kilovolt Transmission Line to 161-kilovolt standards and install associated switches on new structures. This transmission line will supply power to Pulaski Electric System’s Lynnville 161-kilovolt Substation.

The transmission line would be built using steel pole structures centered on 100-foot-wide right of way. The right of way would consist of existing 75-foot-wide right of way plus new 25-foot-wide right of way.

TVA will hold an information meeting on July 17, 2014, to provide information and answer questions about the proposed transmission line project.

The project is expected to be in service summer 2016. Construction would begin spring 2016.
