Power Service Center

TVA’s Power Service Center provides expert repair and maintenance of power system components and large industrial equipment.

With world-class maintenance facilities and a workforce of nearly 500, we offer fast and efficient service. Many of our services are mobile, so we can work at your location or at our 750,000-square-foot shop in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Electrical Shop Services

• Repair and rewinding of all sizes of motors in our Rotating Apparatus Department (104 kb, PDF).
• Refurbishing of transformers and bushings in our Transformer and Bushings Department (48 kb, PDF).
• Cleaning, testing, and calibration of instruments in our Instrumentation Department (52 kb, PDF).

Mechanical Shop Services

• Designing, building, or repairing almost any tool or component and applying specialized coatings in our Mechanical Services Department (76 kb, PDF). Many of these services can also be performed at your site.

Fabrication Shop Services

• Fabrication of all types of components, including nuclear QA and ASME code work, in our Structural Fabrication Shop (64 kb, PDF). We can also train, test, and certify welders.

Field Services: Hydro Plants
