Goodrich “Dus” RogersGoodrich “Dus” Rogers

Dus Rogers of Scottsboro, Alabama, was appointed Chair of the Regional Energy Resource Council in 2013.  He is President and CEO of the Jackson County Economic Development Authority, responsible for leading industrial recruitment efforts, assisting with industrial expansions, and improving the quality of life and standard of living for Jackson County citizens. He has experience as a county extension coordinator administrating numerous educational and leadership programs, including the Leadership Jackson County Program, the Master Gardner Program, the  Horticulture and Forestry programs, as well as many other such programs. Rogers, recently retired from the Alabama National Guard, spent 30 years with the military and has earned numerous military and civilian awards. He is a graduate of the New South Economic Development course, (University of Southern Mississippi), the Intensive Economic Development course (Auburn University) and the Economic Development Institute (University of Oklahoma).

Rogers holds a B.S. in Agriculture Business and Economics from Auburn University and an M.S. degree in Management, from the University of Alabama, Huntsville.
