Reallocation of TVA-managed land
Melton Hill Reservoir, Knox and Anderson Counties, Tennessee
Chris Stephens, John Rankin, and Marshall Sheldon have submitted Section 26a and Land Use applications requesting approval for reallocation of two parcels of TVA-managed land that would result in approval for private water use facilities adjacent to their respective properties, consistent with TVA’s Shoreline Management Policy.
The proposal consists of reallocation of 450 linear feet of public shoreline property from Residential Access to Natural Resource Conservation. In exchange, 225 linear feet of public shoreline property would be reallocated from Sensitive Resource Management to Residential Access. The section of property proposed to be reallocated to Residential Access would then be used for construction and maintenance of three separate private water use facilities. The properties are located in Knox and Anderson Counties on Melton Hill Reservoir.
TVA is interested in receiving comments on the potential of the proposed action to affect the environment or historic properties and in identifying any other issues associated with this proposal. These comments will be used in reaching a decision on the proposed action.
All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before March 14, 2006. Comments should be directed to:
