Beech Reservoir is on the Beech River in west Tennessee. The dam is one of eight small dams located on the river and its tributaries.

Beech is part of a cluster of eight reservoirs that provide flood control, recreational opportunities, and water supply in the Beech River watershed in west Tennessee. The others are Cedar, Dogwood, Lost Creek, Pin Oak, Pine, Redbud, and Sycamore.

The reservoirs are open to the public, providing opportunities for boating, swimming, and fishing. Pin Oak Reservoir and its surrounding land are part of Natchez Trace State Park. Backpackers and hikers enjoy the the areas around the reservoirs, and a group camp has been developed on Sycamore Reservoir.

In the Beech River area, programs for managing game, restocking fish populations, constructing underwater fish attractors, and enhancing the habitat for resident Canada geese ensure a high quality of outdoor experience today and for the future.
