Safety and Emergency Response Training Academy
The TVA Safety and Emergency Response Training Academy uses highly realistic simulations to instruct workers in advanced emergency response techniques. Its staffed by some of the most experienced emergency response professionals in the country.

The nationally accredited academy occupies an 85-acre site 25 miles west of Chattanooga, Tennessee, near the Nickajack Hydro Plant and Dam. Established in 1980 to train TVA employees, it has since begun serving customers from around the world, including manufacturers, power generating companies, airports, and fire departments.
The academy specializes in:
- Industrial site fire response.
- Confined-space and technical rescue.
- Hazardous materials emergency response.
- Hazardous materials training for arson investigators.
Instruction can be tailored to a customers needs and provided at the customers place of business.
