Term Recreational Easement

TVA is considering a request to grant a 30-year public recreation easement over approximately 2.7 acres on the Normandy Dam Reservation at Duck River mile 247.5 (right bank) in Bedford County, Tennessee. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency currently operates the Normandy Fish Hatchery on adjacent property and is seeking the easement for operational use and construction of an additional manager’s residence to support a planned hatchery expansion. The Normandy hatchery provides stock fingerlings for warm water fisheries in Tennessee and supports public recreation opportunities for the Valley.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this request. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
