Online Application System Retirement FAQs

Why was the system retired?

TVA is migrating to a new system in the fall of 2018. In preparation for our transition to the new system, the current online application will be retired on July 13, 2018.

When will the new system be available?

The schedule is subject to change, but we hope to have our new online application system available in the fall of 2018.

How do I apply in the meantime?

I just started an online application, should I continue applying online or submit a paper application by mail?

TVA would encourage you to complete your application by mail to reduce any impacts to you. However, if you prefer to complete your online application, please do so as soon as possible. Keep in mind you will not be able to access your account after July 13, 2018.

What will happen to an application or inquiry I recently submitted online?

If you completed an application or inquiry, TVA has received your information and will continue processing your request. The only difference will be how TVA communicates with you—follow-up will occur via email or phone rather than within the online system.

Will I have to create a new account in the new system?

Yes, when the new system is available, you will have to create a new profile account.

Will I be able to access my history in the new system?

Unfortunately, you will not have access to your permit history in the new system.  We encourage you to save any historical permits from the old system prior to its retirement, or you can call the Public Land Information Center at (800) 882-5263 or email at plic@tva.com to request copies of your permit.
