TVA Partners with Hands On! Museum to Purchase Telescopes

Fostering a love of astronomy is one of the benefits of TVA’s current partnership with the Hands On! Museum. TVA recently purchased two telescopes for the museum to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. Students from Avoca Elementary school looked through the solar telescope during a recent field trip to the museum. “TVA has supported the expansion of our STEM programming and become a wonderful partner,” says Andy Marquart, Hands On! Executive Director. TVA also purchased a night-time telescope and underwrites admission for 500 Title 1 students to visit the museum.
