TVA Supports Mobile Food Pantries Throughout Northeast Tennessee

SEPTEMBER 8, 2017—A and the local power companies of Northeast Tennessee are showing their volunteer spirit. Johnson City Power Board, Holston Electric Cooperative, Newport Utilities and Mountain Electric Cooperative have teamed up with TVA customer delivery representatives to serve food in Johnson City, Mooresburg, Hartford and Mountain City respectively. “TVA is pleased to be able to support Second Harvest Food Bank in this way,” says TVA customer delivery manager Chris Quillen. “Many people in our area are ‘food insecure,’  so Second Harvest provides much needed assistance. Serving at the mobile food pantries is a great opportunity to work side by side with our customers while giving back to our communities.”
