Public Comments Sought for Potential Re-opening of John Sevier Boat Ramp

April 10, 2017

ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority is seeking public comment on a proposed action to refurbish and reopen access to the boat ramp at the John Sevier Gas Plant near Rogersville, Tenn.

The boat ramp, located near the entrance to the John Sevier site, was closed for public safety purposes in 2015 when the site began a decommissioning and remediation process for the retired coal plant. Since that time, TVA has received numerous requests from the public to reopen the ramp.

TVA is interested in receiving comments on the proposed action to reopen the boat ramp. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection.

All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before May 9, 2017. Comments may be mailed to Ashely Farless, NEPA Compliance Specialist, 1101 Market Street, BR 4A, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37402, or emailed to
