Bob Dalrymple
Chief of Staff
Bob Dalrymple serves as the Chief of Staff for the TVA Office of the CEO. In this role, he is responsible for Board Services and facilitating executive and enterprise governance activities.
Prior to this role, he served as senior vice president of Resource Management & Operations Services, responsible for TVA’s Supply Chain, River & Resources Stewardship, Security & Resiliency, Strategic Operational Solutions, Central Labs & Services, NERC Regulatory Policy, and the Aviation Fleet. Dalrymple oversaw the use of 293,000 acres of TVA public land, river management that averts $300 million in flood damage annually, and enterprise spending on material and services of $3 billion annually.
Dalrymple has more than 35 years of utility experience in transmission delivery, system operations and power generation. Dalrymple’s vision is to strengthen partnerships internally and externally and identify innovative solutions to make life better for the people in the Valley region.
Dalrymple began his career with TVA in 1990 as an electrical engineer in Transmission and Customer Service. Since that time, he has served TVA in several senior leadership capacities in the areas of Transmission & Power Supply; overseeing TVA’s coal, natural gas and hydro generation assets; maintenance; and system operations in Tennessee and Alabama.
Dalrymple holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama and has served in an advisory capacity on a variety of industry associations including the Electric Power Research Institute, North American Transmission Forum, SERC Reliability Corporation and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
