Doug Perry

Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President, Office of the CEO

Doug Perry currently serves as the Chief of Staff and senior vice president of the office of the CEO. In this role, he leads critical enterprise transformation work and facilitates executive and enterprise governance activities.

Prior to his current role, Perry served as senior vice president of External Strategy and Communications. In this role, he leveraged expertise, technology and strong relationships to meet TVA's strategic objectives while providing key services, innovative solutions and driving desired outcomes for our customers, communities and diverse stakeholders. He has also served as the senior vice president of Commercial Energy Solutions, leading the development and execution of TVA’s commercial strategy and infrastructure to drive market solutions, develop products and services and maximize TVA’s commodity and market position. Business units include Origination, Renewables, Business Development, Commodity Trading and Hedging, Rates and Pricing Strategy, Energy Contracts and Structuring, Demand-side Energy Services and programs, and all Distributed Energy Resources.

Previously, he was also vice president of Financial Operations and Performance and was responsible for financial services in all TVA business units, including nuclear generation and construction, coal and gas generation, transmission and river operations.

Perry holds a bachelor’s in business administration from University of Georgia and an MBA from the University at North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 

Perry enjoys spending time in the community and is on the board of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen. He and his wife, Ann Henley, have five children and live in Chattanooga.
