Jennifer Mundt joined the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality in April 2017 as the Policy and Innovation Advisor. Mundt has devoted her career to environmental policy. She most recently worked with the North Carolina General Assembly for more than a decade as a nonpartisan legislative analyst. During her tenure in the legislature, she helped craft environmental, energy and public health legislation and policy.
Mundt earned bachelor’s degrees in both environmental science and political science from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Gillings School of Global Public Health.
