Keith Carnahan is the President & CEO of Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative (MLEC) in headquartered in Centerville, Tenn. MLEC provides electricity to five rural counties in Middle Tennessee. These counties include Hickman, Lewis, Perry, Humphreys, and Houston counties. Prior to this position, he spent 27 years in several engineering positions with E.I. DuPont in New Johnsonville, Tenn., and was the Site Engineering Manager at DuPont when he left to come to MLEC. Carnahan also served five years on the Board of Directors for MLEC prior to being named to his current position.
Carnahan serves on the Board of Directors of Tennessee Valley Public Power Association and Seven States Power Corporation. He also serves as Secretary for the Central District Managers Association and the United Utility Supply Cooperative Corporation.
He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and also holds a MBA from Bethel University.
