BVU Authority (BVU) provides electric, water and wastewater utility services to areas of Southwest Virginia, including: The City of Bristol, Virginia; portions of Virginia’s Washington and Scott Counties, and limited locations in Sullivan County, Tennessee.

The BVU Electric Division supplies power to over 16,300 locations in a 125 square mile service area. Power is distributed to customers via ten substations, 29 miles of transmission lines and approximately 577 miles of distribution lines.
