Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative serves DeKalb, Jackson and Marshall counties in Alabama. Incorporated in 1940, SMEC today has more than 30,700 business and residential members and maintains upwards of 3,000 miles of transmission line. It works with TVA to offer its customers the energy efficiency program EnergyRight Solutions.
