The Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative serves Hardin County east of the river and all of Wayne County in West Tennessee. Incorporated in 1939, STEMC today has more than 19,000 business and residential members and maintains more than 19,000 miles of transmission line. It partners with TVA to bring its customers the energy efficiency program Residential Services.
