TVA is pleased to announce the selection of Community Relations Program Manager, Latrivia Welch, into the Memphis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 class of 2020.
Spearheading a number of communications initiatives in Memphis, Latrivia’s unmistakable business acumen, communications strategy and passion for the River City, make her the consummate team player, and TVA is honored to have her impressive background and skillsets focused on helping improve the lives of Memphians.
With 20 years of experience in corporate, agency, non-profit and small business environments with an emphasis on marketing, communications, public relations, and development, Latrivia has helped orchestrate numerous high-profile integrated marketing campaigns for organizations including The Church of God In Christ Presidium, AT&T Tennessee, YES Prep Public Schools, and the Memphis branch of the NAACP, of which she is a board member. She also helped generate awareness surrounding two City of Memphis actions: the Engineering Department’s Parking Meter Modernization Program and Memphis’s Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation initiative.
Latrivia was also instrumental in garnering attention for The National Civil Rights Museum’s Grand Reopening in 2014, and is proud to have helped bring an NBA franchise to Memphis. In 2016, she founded Welch Public Relations, a boutique firm focused on branding, special events and public relations. She is also an accomplished author and owns her own publishing company.
Embracing our core value to improve the lives of the people we serve, Latrivia is a key addition to the TVA family. We have no doubt her professionalism, thoughtfulness and unwavering commitment in her community bodes well for TVA and even greater for the city she loves.
