FLORENCE, Ala. – Maintenance activities on Wilson Dam will require the temporary closure of Cox Creek Parkway/Reservation Road over the dam near Florence, Ala., beginning  Monday morning, July 31, at 8 a.m. CDT.

Gates and barricades will be in place on South Cox Creek Parkway and Reservation Road across the dam. The preferred alternate route is Highway 157, located just west of the dam.

The maintenance activities are weather dependent, but are expected to be completed  by 9 a.m. CDT on Thursday, Aug. 3. The roadway will reopen at that time.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this necessary work to ensure the continued safe operation of the Wilson Dam and the roadway over the dam.
