SAVANNAH, Tenn. — Tennessee Valley Authority crews will conduct a routine inspection of the Highway 128 bridge that crosses Pickwick Dam on Thursday, Feb. 6. Bridge inspections are a necessary part of ensuring these pieces of vital transportation infrastructure continue to operate safely.

From 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. CST, motorists who drive on Highway 128 across Pickwick Dam should exercise caution and expect delays. Travel will be restricted to a single lane while inspection crews close the northbound lane that crosses the bridge. TVA Police will direct traffic during the inspection.

The timing of the inspection helps minimize disruptions to school and work traffic.

In the event of inclement weather, inspectors may extend or reschedule the work. TVA will notify the public of any changes of the project schedule.
