Road Over Hiwassee Dam To Close
HIWASSEE, N.C. – The Tennessee Valley Authority will close the access road over Hiwassee Dam during part of June 2 and June 3, to perform maintenance on the dam’s Gate No. 1.
The closures will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. EDT both days.
The public is advised that traffic signals located at east and west ends of the road will be “red” during the road closure. TVA appreciates the public’s understanding. In the event of inclement weather, the work may be extended or rescheduled.
