Road Over Hiwassee Dam To Close Periodically
HIWASSEE, N.C. – The Tennessee Valley Authority will close the access road over Hiwassee Dam from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. EDT on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 14-15, to perform maintenance on Gate No. 1.
The public is advised to be aware of traffic lights located at east and west ends of the road. Both lights will be red during the road closure. TVA appreciates the public’s understanding. In the event of inclement weather, the work may be extended or rescheduled.
Additional road closures will be needed in May. More information will be provided.
