TVA provided property to Roane County for the development of a sports complex under a license agreement with the county. 

The site is intended for public use and enjoyment by the people of Roane County and beyond. This is an important venue for Roane County. 

The complex is currently not being maintained, and is reaching a state where it will become increasingly difficult to return the complex to its original condition without significant time and expense. This is especially true for the turf on the athletic fields. 

TVA informed Roane County that it will temporarily take over maintenance of the property in order to preserve it for the purpose it is intended. Based on results of our testing at the site, we are comfortable with maintaining the property.

Once Roane County receives the results of its testing from TDEC, we anticipate the county will resume maintenance and use of the site for public recreation.
