KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority will be conducting a routine inspection of the Tellico Parkway Bridge, State Route 444, on Thursday, Sept. 12. The bridge is downstream of Tellico Dam in Loudon County, Tennessee.

The inspection requires one lane of the road across the bridge to close and travel will be restricted to a single lane on Sept. 12, 9 a.m. to noon EDT. The timing of the inspection helps minimize disruptions to school and work traffic.

During the inspection period, motorists should exercise caution, follow traffic sign or flagger directions, and expect delays when crossing Tellico Parkway Bridge. In the event of inclement weather, bridge inspectors may extend or reschedule the work. We will notify the public of any changes in the project schedule.
