NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a traffic caution for transmission line work affecting I-65 north of Trinity Lane. Lane closures will be in place overnight while workers replace conductors for continued reliability.
Starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 5 the north and south bound lanes of I-65 between exits 87 and 88 will be closed. Work should be completed by Saturday, March 6 at 7 a.m. Any remaining work due to delays would be completed on Saturday, March 6 with lanes closing at 9 p.m. and reopening as soon as work is completed.
Work is coordinated with the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Travelers should use TDOT SmartWay and pay attention to overhead signs and roadside message boards for up-to-date traffic information. Traffic controls will be in place along with support from TVA police and Nashville metro police. A roller crane will be placed in a south bound and northbound lane as safety support for the work.TVA is investing over $2 billion in transmission system improvements across our service area between 2021 and 2025 to build the energy system of the future that will continue to provide, clean, low cost, reliable power.
