TVA Board of Directors Hosts Virtual Meeting on May 6

Apr 29, 2021

KNOXVILLE – The Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors will again conduct its scheduled quarterly meeting in a controlled format at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, May 6, to comply with COVID-19 guidelines supporting the health and safety of TVA team members, the public and their families during the ongoing pandemic.

Although revised pandemic guidelines will allow additional Board members to gather in the same location, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control guidance continues to limit additional attendance to minimal staffing in a controlled setting. The Board hopes to resume its normal meeting format as soon as safely possible.

Although physical distancing requirements continue to make in-person comments in a traditional listening session impractical, the Board encourages interested members of the public to make their opinions and comments heard through written comments. Individuals may submit written comments through the Board’s webpage at https://www.tva.com/board no later than 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 5. Individuals without computer access may contact Wilson Taylor, TVA’s ombudsman, at 865-776-7015. All comments will be presented to the Board members prior to their May 6 meeting.

The Board will consider the following agenda items:

  1. Approval of minutes of the February 11, 2021 Board Meeting
  2. Report of the People and Performance Committee
  3. Report of the External Relations Committee
  4. Report of the Audit, Risk, and Regulation Committee
  5. Report of the Nuclear Oversight Committee
  6. Report of the Finance, Rates, and Portfolio Committee
  7. Report from President and CEO
    A. Guiding Principles for TVA’s Values and Strategic Priorities
  8. Information Items
    A. Changes to Long-Term Incentive Plan Performance Goals
    B. Compensation Plan Amendments

The Board meeting can be viewed live from the Board of Directors’ webpage or directly at www.tva.com/board/watch. The link will be available a few minutes prior to start time of the meeting. TVA management will answer questions from the news media following the Board meeting.

Anyone who wishes to comment on any agenda item in writing may send comments to TVA Board of Directors, Board Agenda Comments, 400 West Summit Hill Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902.
