TVA RIVER TRAFFIC ALERT
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a water traffic caution during transmission line work on the Cumberland River in Davidson County, Tenn.
Crews will replace lines crossing the Cumberland River between Whites Creek and the old State Prison on Bomar Boulevard. Work begins at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, and continues through Monday, Jan. 27, during daylight hours.
Watercraft operators should avoid the area or take extra precautions. Safety boats will be in place. Everyone in the area should heed warnings of the safety patrol boats and personnel that will be on patrol in the area. Marine channels 13, 16 and 81 will be monitored by the safety boats.
