ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a river traffic caution from July 13-18 for transmission line construction near the John Sevier power plant on the South Holston River near Rogersville, Tenn.

TVA transmission crews will be upgrading transmission lines and structures in and around the bay located immediately north of the John Sevier plant. Work will be occurring daily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., subject to favorable weather conditions.

To ensure public safety, fishing and recreational access to the bay will be closed during work periods. Watercraft operators should take extra precautions in the area and should heed warnings from TVA Police boats and other safety patrol boats that will be on watch. Marine channels 16 and 13 will be monitored by the safety boats.
