TVA Reschedules Open House on Coal Combustion Products Disposal at Cumberland

WHAT:
TVA is rescheduling an information open house to receive comments from the public about options for disposal of ash and other coal combustion products at its Cumberland Fossil Plant. The original date was postponed due to winter weather in the area.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
TVA is issuing a Draft Environmental Impact Statement which considers the impacts of two primary closure methods for the CCR impoundments: (1) Closure-in-Place and (2) Closure-by-Removal.
 
This open house is part of a public comment period that ends March 9. The evening will include a brief presentation at around 5:45 p.m. More information is available at https://www.tva.gov/nepa.
