SMITHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a river traffic caution during transmission line work on the Old Smithville-Center Hill 46-kilovolt transmission line where it crosses the Indian Creek area of Center Hill Lake, south of Indian Creek Camp.

Crews will be working on the transmission line beginning 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and work until the job is completed. The line has been retired and is being removed.

Watercraft operators should avoid the area or take extra precautions. Everyone in the area should heed warnings of the safety patrol boats and personnel that will be on patrol in the area. Marine channels 13, 16 and 81 will be monitored by the safety boats.
