TVA’s Regional Energy Resource Council to Meet in Murfreesboro
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Members of the public interested in the current and future direction of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s energy-related activities, including the 2019 Integrated Resource Plan, are invited to attend an upcoming public working session of the Regional Energy Resource Council in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Tuesday, Feb. 19 and Wednesday, Feb. 20.
The 20-member RERC includes representatives from throughout the Tennessee Valley and advises TVA leadership on the management and development of energy-related issues and priorities.
The draft 2019 Integrated Resource Plan will be among the topics for discussion.
The working session takes place from 1-6 p.m. CST on Tuesday, and 8:30-11:30 a.m. CST on Wednesday at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1200 Conference Center Boulevard in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The public is invited to attend an open house with experts on the IRP beginning at 4:30 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Feb. 19, followed by an opportunity to share views and opinions directly to the RERC members during an hour-long public comment session beginning at 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Anyone wishing to speak should register at the door on Tuesday from 1-5 p.m. CST.
Written comments are also invited and may be mailed to the Regional Energy Resource Council, Tennessee Valley Authority, 400 West Summit Hill Drive, WT-9D, Knoxville, TN 37902.
