TVA Seeks Public Input on Ocoee 1 Hydro Consolidation Project

Feb 3, 2021

BENTON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Valley Authority is asking for public input on a draft Environmental Assessment that proposes the consolidation of people and functions from three existing Ocoee 1 Hydro Dam administrative sites into a newly constructed administration building located on the existing Ocoee 1 Hydro Dam property in Polk County, Tennessee. Details of the review are available in a draft Environmental Assessment at https://www.tva.com/nepa.

The draft EA includes three alternatives: No Action Alternative, Alternative A - consolidation via license or easement grant, and Alternative B - consolidation via demolition. TVA’s preferred action includes either Alternative A or Alternative B.
