TVA Seeks Public Input on Proposed Warren County Transmission Project

Jul 28, 2022

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.  â€“ The Tennessee Valley Authority values public input and is launching a process to gather feedback on proposed transmission system improvements to prepare for growth and increase power reliability in Warren County.

To support the Envision AESC facility that was announced in April, TVA proposes to build a new switching station at Transpark East and a two-mile power line that will connect to an existing transmission line in order to power Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation’s new substation located on the north side of Fred Madison Road in Bowling Green. In addition, TVA will identify and purchase rights-of-way for two future power lines that would connect to the proposed Transpark switching station.

The public comment period begins today and ends on August 29, 2022. Submit comments by email [email protected],  by mail to: Gina Howard, Tennessee Valley Authority, 1101 Market St., MR 4G, Chattanooga, TN, 37402-2801 or by calling Gina Howard, TVA Transmission Siting, toll-free at 800-362-4355.

Detailed maps showing the different locations being considered for the proposed transmission line are available at tvavirtual.com/transpark.

TVA is investing over $2 billion in transmission system improvements across the service area between 2021 and 2025 to build the energy grid of the future that will continue to provide, clean, low-cost, reliable power.
