Jun 8, 2018

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Valley Authority work near Tellico Dam in Loudon County, Tenn., will lead to temporary lane closures June 13-15 at the bridge on Tellico Parkway (State Route 444).

Starting at 9 a.m., Wednesday June13, the work will close one lane at a time for several hours, then switch to close the other lane. The work is expected to be completed by 2:30 p.m. The same schedule will be repeated, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15.

Throughout the project, one lane will be open at all times. The schedule is dependent on the weather, and work will be postponed in the event of rain.

TVA is replacing expansion joints on the bridge below Tellico Dam which began May 12.

Motorists should expect traffic delays during the bridge work, take extra caution while driving, and consider alternate routes.
