Laura J. Campbell, P.E.
Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff
Laura Campbell serves as TVA’s SVP & Chief of Staff. With over thirty years in the utility industry, Laura brings broad industry experience to the role, including public power and investor-owned utility experience. Campbell has led multiple organizations across TVA serving as VP over Supply Chain, Enterprise Planning, and Customer Delivery. In her current role, Campbell serves as a senior advisor to the CEO and leads the Office of the CEO, Board Services, and EEO organizations, providing strategic counsel on business, technical, regulatory and operational matters impacting TVA, while managing critical assignments that advance organizational effectiveness. Additionally, she serves as the primary interface between TVA leadership and the Board of Directors and acts as liaison to the Executive Council of fifteen CEO direct reports.
Laura Campbell was named Vice President (VP), Supply Chain in June 2019. She led Supply Chain functions including the procurement of all TVA’s materials, equipment, and services. Laura also set strategies related to category management, fleet services, materials warehousing and distribution, and inventory strategies and processes. Campbell was tapped to lead the Supply Chain organization months before the pandemic.
Prior to this position, she was VP, Enterprise Planning and was responsible for TVA’s strategic planning process, long range financial plan, load and commodity forecasting, commodity risk oversight, and fleet asset planning and strategy. In this role, Campbell was responsible for developing the 2019 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).
As VP of Customer Delivery, she was responsible for maintaining and enhancing the customer relationships for the 154 local power companies who purchase TVA power. Campbell was accountable for TVA’s Customer Service district offices across the seven-state region that TVA serves and the delivery of TVA’s Energy Efficiency/Demand Response and renewables programs.
Before joining TVA, Campbell worked for Memphis Light, Gas and Water and was accountable for the purchase and hedging of MLGW’s natural gas portfolio totaling $300 million per year. In addition, she was responsible for the group that provides customer service to MLGW’s industrial key accounts.
Campbell is a registered professional engineer in Tennessee. She is active in the community serving as the Chair of the Board of Advisors for the Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis and as the Governance Chair on the board for Girls Inc of Chattanooga. Laura and her husband, Colin, have two children and reside in Chattanooga.
