TVA will be opening several of its dispersed recreational area gates and access roads that were closed to motorized vehicles during the winter for the 2022 recreation season. TVA is looking to reopen all areas in April; however, some gates may remain closed until summer reservoir levels are reached to protect resources.
Please do not block any closed access gates as they may be needed in case of an emergency. All public informal sites will remain open to foot traffic at all times.
Visitors are requested to follow public health guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Executive Order 13991 while enjoying public lands.
