Environmental stewardship provides a holistic approach to programs that support the natural and cultural resources and biodiversity of the region. The Natural Resource Plan guides TVA's management of public lands and waters within the service area. TVA also ensures compliance with environmental laws, regulations and commitments to improve the quality of life across the region.
TVA and its partners work to protect and improve the resources of the Tennessee River and surrounding lands. By managing the river for flood control, navigation and hydroelectric power, TVA serves the people of the region today and protects natural resources for tomorrow.
