Gleason Combustion Turbine Plant

Gleason Combustion Turbine Plant sits on 97 acres in Weakley County, Tenn., approximately eight miles south of Dresden.

Gleason consists of three simple cycle combustion turbines – two air-cooled units and one hydrogen-cooled unit. Combined, the three units can power more than 271,000 homes.

Construction on Gleason started in September 1999, and operation began on June 1, 2000. TVA purchased the site on Dec. 17, 2006.
