Lagoon Creek Combustion Turbine Plant

The 12-unit Lagoon Creek Combustion Turbine Plant sits together with the Lagoon Creek Combine Cycle Plant near the community of Brownsville, Tenn., and has a net generation capability of 1048 MW in summer and 1140 MW in winter.

Lagoon Creek combustion turbine units are GE 7EA fuel oil and natural gas fired simple cycle units. They are fast start capable.

The plant began commercial operations in 2001 for Phase I (Units 1-8) and 2002 for Phase II (Units 9-12).
