Lagoon Creek Combustion Turbine Plant

The 12-unit Lagoon Creek Combustion Turbine Plant sits together with the Lagoon Creek Combined Cycle Plant on 188 acres near Brownsville, Tenn.

The site consists of 12 simple cycle combustion turbines that can power more than 494,000 homes.  

Construction on Lagoon Creek Combustion Turbine Plant began in October 2000. The first eight units began commercial operation in 2001. Units 9 to 12 began commercial operation in 2001.
